Readers as Co-Authors in Digital Fiction

This rather large piece was written for my Theories of Writing course. This course focused on analyzing the development of writing and rhetoric, historical views on writing as a process, and how writing and rhetoric shift to meet certain purposes and needs. For our final assignment, we were tasked with developing and exploring a theory of writing, answering a specific question regarding how writing functions. For my paper, I chose to analyze and categorize forms of digital interactive fiction.

I would consider this piece to be an excellent example of my analytical writing skills. The analysis is long but not overwhelming, it is thorough but not so overly thorough that it gets distracted, and it overall demonstrates my ability to discuss topics on a larger scale. I hope to be able to employ similar explanatory and analytical skills throughout the rest of my works.
